MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Passing your driving test is an important milestone, but my aim is to help you build the skills, awareness and confidence to drive safely and independently long after you’ve passed.
Hi, I'm Tracy Mahoney, a fully qualified DVSA-approved driving instructor providing friendly, one-to-one manual driving lessons in Aberdeen.
I trained through the Learner Driver Centre (LDC) Instructor Programme, and I'm committed to continually developing my skills and finding better ways to support my pupils. Whether that's through further professional training or making the most of modern technology, I believe there's always room to improve the learning experience.
I know that everyone approaches driving lessons differently. Some pupils are excited to get started, while others may feel nervous or lack confidence. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at a pace that works for you.
I also use a dedicated digital lesson and progress system to keep your learning organised. This allows me to record your lessons, monitor the skills you're developing and share useful feedback that you can revisit between sessions. It's another way of helping you understand how far you've come and what we'll work on next.
I want every lesson to help you become a thoughtful, capable driver — with the judgement to make good decisions, adapt to different roads and keep learning through real-world experience.
YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY
From your first message to your driving test, I keep things clear and organised using a dedicated digital system. That means we can spend more time focused on your driving, while your lesson records and progress are kept together.
After lessons, I can share a progress summary so you can look back at the skills you've worked on, recognise improvements and see what we'll focus on next.
Tell me a little about your experience, location and availability. I'll personally check whether I can accommodate you.
When a lesson space is agreed, you'll complete a digital pupil registration, giving us a clear starting point.
Lessons and pupil signatures are recorded digitally, together with lesson time, payment and any remaining credit.
I can share your driving-skills assessments and notes, so you can reflect on your achievements between lessons.

Good progress with junctions today. Next lesson we'll work on building confidence at busier roundabouts.

A CAR OTHER DRIVERS CAN RECOGNISE
My tuition car has prominent Drive with Tracy markings and a roof sign, helping other motorists recognise that a learner is behind the wheel. That visibility matters at busy junctions, roundabouts and during manoeuvres, where a new driver may need a little extra time.
My aim is to provide a comfortable, supportive environment where you can concentrate on your driving and build confidence at your own pace.
A LESSON LENGTH THAT WORKS FOR MY PUPILS
I've found that a 90-minute lesson gives my pupils the right amount of time to settle in, practise new skills, revisit previous learning and make meaningful progress.
Every learner is different. If a shorter lesson or extra time before your driving test would help, I'm happy to discuss other lesson lengths, subject to availability.

WHAT MY PUPILS SAY
I'm grateful for the feedback pupils and families have shared over the years. You can read their kind recommendations on Facebook, and if you've had lessons with me, you're very welcome to leave a review on Google.
Extremely patient, hugely competent, and reassuringly calm... goes above and beyond to ensure learners are supported.
ALREADY HAD LESSONS WITH ME?
If you've learned with me, a quick Google review would mean a lot. It also helps other learners decide whether I'm the right instructor for them.
